Personal –

I am a Bay Area native. I love spending time with my family, traveling, outdoor activities, swimming, boating and working around the house. I lived in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain in my younger years. I currently live in San Ramon with my wife Nicole and three children.

Academic –

I did my undergraduate work at U.C. Berkeley and studied at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid for a semester. I earned postgraduate credentials in teaching and school administration at Chapman University in addition to a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am a certified leadership coach for new administrators in our district.

Professional –

I have experience at elementary, middle and high schools. For six years I was known as Señor Biondi, a Spanish teacher at Charlotte Wood. I then became Assistant Principal at Charlotte Wood for two years. Following that I became Principal of Country Club Elementary School for nine years. I have worked in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District for 17 years and have a history of loyal service to my schools. I am thrilled to be the Principal of Coyote Creek Elementary School.

Bill Alpert, Assistant Principal

I’m currently in my seventh year as the assistant principal at Coyote Creek. Before my tenure at Coyote Creek I worked as a Teacher on Special Assignment (TSA) at Holbrook Elementary in Concord, CA. At Holbrook I taught several intervention classes to third, fourth, and fifth graders, set up a noon-league sports program, and did various administrative duties. Prior to my TSA position, I was a first and third grade classroom teacher for ten years at Mountain View Elementary in Concord, CA.

I was originally born in Pittsburgh, PA, and resided there until five years of age. My family moved to Atlanta, GA where I attended kindergarten through third grade. In fourth grade we moved to Walnut Creek, CA, and I have lived in Northern California ever since. I attended Walnut Acres Elementary, Foothill Intermediate, and Northgate High School. I furthered my education at UC Davis and graduated with a BA in History in 1991. I went back to school to obtain my teaching credential at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, NV, and began teaching in 1996. My administrative certification was done through Cal State, Hayward. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my two children, Wesley (8) and Ella (6), and my dog Daisy. I am an avid snowboarder, play both indoor and outdoor soccer, and enjoy reading, movies, music, eating sushi and Mexican food, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers when I have the time.
