President's Message

Welcome Back!
This is my first welcome letter as the incoming PTA President and I am very excited about the school year! First, I want to warmly welcome all new incoming families to the Coyote Creek Elementary School. I remember back to my family's first year at Coyote Creek and I can't believe my kids are now entering 7th and 2nd grade. Time really does fly by! It seems like it was yesterday when we attended our first orientation at this school coming across many new faces, that are now an extension of home and family. Joining the PTA played an important role in making us feel welcome and at home.
The Coyote Creek PTA is an integral part of the Coyote Creek family. Not only do we host fun events during the school year, such as The Fall Festival, and Family Fun Nights, but we also provide funds and volunteers for enriching programs like Breakfast Book Club, Math spark, and GeoBee, Yoga, and Runclub. We have two major fundraisers during the year. The first one is on Oct 1st called the "Run for Education", in collaboration with the San Ramon Education fund, and the "Fall Festival Fundraiser"on Oct 21st.  The funds collected from these events will help support many enriching programs that makes our school so wonderful and sought after. All of these events take the hard work and dedication of our community members. Each one of us has different skills, talents, and resources that are desperately needed to make Coyote Creek what it is. For some it is volunteering in our classrooms. For others, it is heading up or joining a committee that brings something special to our students. We all want the very best education and experience for our kids, and that is why we must all individually do whatever we can to make it happen. We expect our community to come together and support our great school in any way possible. Even 1 hour of time is worth so much. Please get involved and meet your neighbors. You will not regret it! Please join me, the PTA board, and our entire community as we embark on the quest to ensure Coyote Creek reaches its greatest potential. The old adage, "It takes a village", comes to mind when I think about all the wonderful things that happens at Coyote Creek. And with your help, we can strengthen and build our village to unbelievable heights. Please mark your calendars and Join us at the first PTA meeting on Monday September 18th at 9am.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon,

Shadee Dastmalchi
Coyote Creek PTA President
